An incredible video of a wild horse stomping on an alligator has taken the internet by storm.
The video was posted to Facebook by Krystal M. Berry after she witnessed the battle on a trail at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park in Florida.
This park is known for its wildlife, which includes bison, alligators, and wild horses. The Spanish brought horses to this area when they arrived in Florida, and the current wild horses are their descendants.
It is quite rare for these horses to be seen attacking alligators.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission annually receives more than 18,000 alligator-related complaints. Most of these complaints deal with alligators occurring in places such as backyard ponds, canals, ditches and streams, but other conflicts occur in garages, pools and in golf course ponds.
In many cases, if left alone, alligators will eventually retreat to more-preferred, isolated areas away from people. There are 1.3 million alligators in Florida and as humans further encroach on their habitats, interactions between gators and humans increase.
Compared to crocodiles, alligators are not naturally aggressive creatures. Popular convention might make them out as aggressive bloodthirsty fiends, but they are hardly as dangerous as saltwater or Nile crocodiles, which are much larger and much more aggressive. However, on occasion, American alligators can and do attack humans, and they can and do attack each other. You can get an idea of what that can end up like in the video below.
