The lion is the classic “king of the jungle”, although as we see in this video, being the king isn’t always easy. Even for the most ferocious apex predators, prey can fight back and turn the tables.

Lions often prey upon African buffalos… but the hunts don’t always turn out successfully. The power of a full-grown African Buffalo can be too much for a single lion, which is why lions often hunt as a group.

The African Buffalo, or Cape Buffalo, is known for its brutal ability to ‘gore’ predators using its horns. This characteristic horn of the buffalo is unique in that it has fused bases, forming a continuous bone shield referred to as a “boss”. This can prove extremely dangerous. This species kills over 200 people every year. These animals are easily one of the most dangerous animals in all of Africa.
