Nature is brutal. We all know it takes a lot to survive in the world, but is there any place more fierce than the savanna of Africa?
In amazing video taken in Kruger National Park in South Africa from Kruger Africa, a leopard struggles to take down a warthog. They’re are roughly the same size and it has to work pretty hard to keep the warthog down for a meal. It takes a bit of effort to bring down the warthog, but the leopard eventually gets the job done.
Unfortunately for the leopard, the calls of the dying warthog attract a lion to the scene, scaring off the leopard and sending it running for the hills. The king of the jungle then quickly takes the still struggling warthog, claims it and saunters away.
While this is obviously a bad day for the leopard, it’s without a doubt the worst day for the warthog.
Lions don’t have any problem taking something that isn’t theirs, apparently. They’re just smart delegators. As one person said,”That’s a lion for you! Smart as hell. Let someone else do the hard labor, then steal the rewards! You gotta love a lion!”
But another commenter summed up the plight of the leopard pretty good when they said, “When you work so hard, but at the end of the year taxes come…”
