Hyenas vs. Wild Dogs

Hyenas vs. Wild Dogs

Life isn’t easy for predators.

In this footage, two spotted hyenas sneak in to try to steal a hard-earned fresh kill from a pack of wild dogs.

The dogs can be heard making shrill “rally calls” to alert other members of the pack, hoping they will come to their aid.

After several failed attempts, the hyenas decided to make a run for it. The wild dogs win in the end due to their tenacity and strength in numbers.

African wild dogs are highly social and live in cooperative packs of 20 or more individuals, generally preying antelope, rodents, and birds.

This incredible clip was filmed in Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa.
