It seems like the world is just now coming to appreciate how cute young rhinos can be.
Just watch this…
They basically look like little dinosaurs and give us a peek into what the world might have been like when dinosaurs roamed the earth. And we can probably bet that young dinos were cute, too.
In a video uploaded by the user Simone to Kruger Sightings, we get to spy on the everyday life of a newborn rhino.
It seems like a pretty carefree life, just chasing away the birds that surround it. It’s easy to see how someone else might love this video and relate to it so much, because who hasn’t taken the opportunity once or twice to chase birds to see them run and then fly away?
Of course, the birds aren’t in much danger. Rhinos are herbivores and mainly eat plants, from grass to the foliage of trees or bushes. Its mother stands close by, completely unphased by the birds or her unruly calf.
Kruger Sightings dedicated the video to Roger Gower, a pilot who was killed by poachers this week while protecting elephants in Africa.
Videos like these are especially important in reminding us why wildlife is so precious and worth protecting.
