A rare Arabian wolf was filmed hunting an ibex on a steep desert cliff.

The incredible footage was caught on camera by Matan Bogomolsky at the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve in Israel. In the video, the determined wolf can be seen scaling the treacherous cliff in pursuit of an agile ibex, resulting in a heart-stopping chase.
The critically endangered Arabian wolf once roamed throughout the Arabian Peninsula but now only exists only in small pockets in southern Israel, southern and western Iraq, Oman, Yemen, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and some parts of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.
Their survival is at risk due to human persecution, habitat loss, and hunting.
Despite their dwindling numbers, the Arabian wolf is an incredibly skilled predator, and their hunting techniques are fascinating to observe. They often hunt in pairs, using their sharp senses to track down prey over long distances. In this particular instance, the wolf pursued the ibex up a steep cliff, showcasing its tenacity and agility in the pursuit of a meal.
