This tenacious serval was filmed bravely taking on a puff adder, a highly aggressive and venomous species of snake found only in Africa.
The big cat was brave to take on this species of snake; puff adders are responsible for the most snakebite fatalities in Africa.
Servals are medium-sized, slender wildcats found only in Africa. You can identify them by their build – servals have the longest legs of any cat in relation to body size.

The feline batted the snake’s head repeatedly in an attempt to subdue it, all the while holding up traffic in the middle of Kruger National Park.
It’s unclear whether or not the snake survived the encounter.
