The elephant broke the sprinkler again.
“Faa Sai,” a rescued female elephant at the Elephant Nature Park (ENP) in Chang Mai, Thailand, is having the best day ever.
Apparently not the first time this has happened, elephants at the park find it humorous and entertaining to break the sprinklers around the premises. This is the second time Faa Sai has done it, and we’re sure her comrades are taking notes.
Lucky for her and the rest of the herd, the staff at the Park love watching them play so much that they delay fixing the sprinklers just so the elephants can enjoy them a little longer.
The Elephant Nature Park rescues, rehabilitates, and provides shelter to dozens of elephants that have suffered from the logging or tourism industry.
While most “parks” in the region separate calves from mothers, offer elephant rides (don’t do it!), and force unnatural behaviors through the use of bull hooks, ENP gives the elephants a chance to roam, provides veterinary care, and educates the public about the plight of Asian elephants.
If an elephant interaction is on your bucket list, this park is probably the best elephant organization to visit in Thailand.
