These four whale sharks were so thankful to the group of divers who saved them from being stuck in a fishing net that they even stuck around for a swim afterward.
With great precision, the divers worked their way around the massive net, slowly freeing the colossal fish.
The first two whale sharks left the net without much trouble; however, the other two creatures, which were more tangled, needed a little extra help from the surrounding divers. Together, the group of divers pulled the net down, while others gave the whale sharks a push to help them on their way.
These slow-moving filter feeders are the largest fish on earth, growing to 40 feet or more. Unfortunately, these gentle giants are listed as Vulnerable due to over-fishing and entanglement in fishing gear.
