Grizzly Bears Fighting Caught on Camera

When two grizzly bears do battle, even coyotes stop to watch. In the video above, filmed in Northern British Canada by Cari McGillivray, we see just that happen.

During mating season, male bears will battle for dominance.

Fights like this can result in serious or fatal injuries, as the drive to mate is very strong.

Female, or sow grizzlies, will chose to copulate with the most dominate males, so the winner’s genes prevail- classic evolution at work.

Males, or boars can grow to over 1500 pounds, making them the largest land based predators on earth (polar bears are a tiny bit bigger, but they are considered marine mammals).

This video below, filmed on the Alaska Peninsula, highlights one such fight. Watch:

We saved the best for last… Two big brown bears battle in what has been called “the best bear fight ever”. This was filmed in a forest in Finland.
