The amazing footage shows how the Great Black-backed Gull was able to devour the rabbit, albeit with some difficulty.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this behavior. The footage below was shot on Skokholm, an island neighboring Skomer off the Welsh coast.

While it may seem shocking or just plain wrong, the Wildlife Trust experts on Skomer Island said rabbits are actually an important part of these birds’ diet.
“Rabbits are an important part of their diet when none or very few small seabirds or seabird chicks are available,” they told Wales Online.
