A robot designed to look like a baby gorilla was recently used to observe wild silverback gorillas in the Congo, and it captured some hilarious, rare footage – the first of its kind. The gorilla spy robot was able to capture footage of the gorillas singing while they ate, among some other never-before-filmed behaviors.

In another video filmed with this unique angle shows the robot “Spy Gorilla” interacting with the other gorillas. At one point, a female mountain gorilla with a baby looks directly into the eyes of the robot.
