Killer Whales Attack a Gray Whale

Amazing footage captures the moment a pod of orcas viciously attacked a gray whale.

Gray whales can reach up to 50 ft in length and can weigh 40 tons. However, these transient killer whales set their sights on the much smaller younger whale, which clings to its mother for protection. The orcas are able to strategically and brutally attack and kill the young whale.

The footage was filmed on Monterey Bay, California on April 27th, 2019. Warning: The video captures killer whales in the hunt. Viewer discretion is advised.

Orcas are known as ‘killer whales’ for a reason, after all.
