It’s all fun and games and fries until someone throws a gator through a drive-thru window.
It seems like an incident that seems could only happen in Florida – and that’s exactly where it happened. After ordering a drink, Joshua James went into his backseat, grabbed a 3.5 foot long gator, and hurled it into the restaurant. And with all the debate about raising the minimum wage, we can all agree that fast food workers definitely do not get paid enough to deal with flying gators…
The 24-year-old was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession and transportation of an alligator, according to.
The gator-napping happened in October, but investigators were able to track down Joshua James and arrest him just this week.
The judge overseeing the hearing ordered the man to stay out of all Wendy’s restaurants — I guess no more frostys for him… He was also ordered to stay away from any animals other than his mother’s dog and undergo a mental health evaluation.
According to the Fish and Wildlife Commission, James admitted to picking up the gator on the side of Southern Boulevard. It was then that he decided to bring the gator into Wendy’s. Maybe he was unhappy with the lack of gator on the menu?
Fortunately for the alligator, it was released back into a nearby canal. Let’s just hope it didn’t develop a taste for Wendy’s and can go on with its life satisfied with its natural prey.
