Strange Alien Fungus Grows out of Carcass and Infects Other Insects

Few species are more successful at living in the jungle than these ants. However, they live in fear of one certain foe, and this enemy seems like something out of this world…

A strange alien killer fungus, known as Cordyceps, infects the ants’ brain and causes an extremely strange change.

The infected ant is removed from ant society by a worker ant who noticed the change in the ant’s behavior. The infected ant is then left to die on the fringes, where a strange spore begins to grow from the now dead ant’s head. Any ant or insect in the vicinity will become infected by the spores once grown.
