Albino animals are rare, ghostly looking creatures, and compared to their normally-colored counterparts, they can appear rather spooky.

Unfortunately, in the wild, they generally do not survive very long. For example, due to lack of protection from UV rays and lack of camouflage against predators, wild albino alligators have an average lifespan of 24 hours.

Even so, a few wild albino animals (and a many captive ones) manage to survive to adulthood. Let’s check out some of the coolest ones!
